fig. 1 — counter, post-prayer rush
Bombay Grills & Woks started with one counter on Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road, a small queue at 11 PM, and a stubborn belief that seekh should taste like the corner stalls back home. No fusion, no marketing. Just the food.
Today we run three counters across the UAE — Karama, Rolla, Abu Shagara — feeding families who’ve sat at the same long tables we did. Same recipes. Same charcoal. Same hour till midnight.
Authentic Bombay street style food — hits the nostalgia for those from Mumbai.
The seekh is properly charred. The staff knows the menu. Reminded me of home in two bites.
We landed at 11:30 PM and the kitchen was still in full swing. Tawa rolls in eight minutes.
Khichdi like my mother made. I didn’t expect to be quiet for ten minutes after one bite.
Catered for thirty people. The trays came hot, the count was right, the brownie sizzled.
Bombay food catering for office lunches, building majlis, family functions and after-cricket tables — across Dubai and Sharjah. Tell us a date, a head-count and an area; we’ll quote, plan trays of seekh, biryani and wok dishes, and arrive with everything still steaming. Veg, non-veg and kid-friendly counts sorted.
